หลังจากได้ปล่อย Firefox 9 สำหรับ Desktop ไปแล้ว ตอนนี้ทาง Mozilla ได้อัพเดท Firefox สำหรับAndroid ซึ่งเป็นเวอร์ชัน 9 เหมือนกันซึ้่งมาพร้อมกัน UI แบบใหม่ Performance ที่ดีกว่า
ซึ่งที่อัพเดทในเวอร์ชันนี้หลักๆ คือ user-interface (UI) แบบใหม่ ที่รองรับการใช้งานบน Tablets ที่ดีขึ้น, Action Bar menu แบบใหม่ และอื่นๆ
